Couple of Hunters

Thought I would show a couple of hunters that have been keeping me busy lately. There are three total but my customer is leaving early June for South Africa and wants the two for his hunting buddies over there for the trip, I'll finish his later.

These are forged carbon steel blades, five inch hunters with maple burl & walnut burl handles, the third will have giraffe bone, all with stainless steel hardware. The engraving by Mike Dubber is South African for "Friendship".

I've decided I'm not crazy about the glossy finish on the handles and after I finish the leather sheaths I'm going to knock the finish down and hand rub them for a satin finish if I have time. Thanks for looking.
